Menstrual health, dignity and practical information
My Body My Pride brought menstrual hygiene education and practical support to adolescent girls in underserved communities in Limbe Municipality.
Documented delivery
Activities took place in three communities: Dogyard, Middle-Farms and Limbe Camp. The published story records interactive workshops, information sessions, pad-use demonstrations and menstrual hygiene kit distribution.
Why this support mattered
The initiative addressed gaps in menstrual health information and access to practical supplies. Community sessions created space to discuss menstruation respectfully and learn how to use menstrual products.
Learning and next steps
Combining practical demonstrations with supplies is an approach worth carrying forward. Participant feedback and follow-up monitoring can help assess understanding, access to products and remaining barriers.
The programme aims to support dignity, confidence and participation in education. These aims guide the work; they are not presented as measured outcomes.
