Essential relief and follow-up

The completed Limbe response distributed 250 relief kits: 55 WASH, 45 dignity and 150 education kits. The August distribution reached 142 of 160 listed beneficiaries across seven locations.

Mobile-clinic services: 25–28 August 2026

In Bonjo and Dockyard, Down Beach, Seaport Health Area, Plan International Cameroon’s mobile-clinic team provided primary healthcare to 346 people. Services included malnutrition screening for 39 children under five, and 50 mosquito nets were distributed. CADEF supported community access and mobilisation.

Household targeting and community engagement

406 households were enumerated during the response’s targeting activities, with CADEF supporting local engagement and enumeration alongside response partners. This helped teams identify affected households and organise assistance.

Learning from the response

The response highlighted the value of local partnerships and community-led mobilisation. Lessons include communicating eligibility and kit contents early, clarifying collection arrangements and reconciling stock and distribution records promptly to strengthen accountability.

Sources: CADEF Limbe distribution records and the Limbe Mobile Clinic Health Intervention Report, with the final distribution update. The 142-beneficiary figure covers the August distribution only. Healthcare reach, children screened, households enumerated and kits distributed measure different activities; they are not combined into a total number of unique beneficiaries. Children screened are included within healthcare reach.
